•    2-Day Basic Green Woodwork.  This course is designed so that you will learn how to use the shave horse, pole lathe and how to use a variety of green woodwork tools and techniques.  And you don’t need any prior experience.

The skills you will learn are:-

*    Pole-Lathe
*    How To Sharpen Your Tools
*    How To Use Your Hand Tools Safely
*    You Will Learn Knife Work and How To Use Carving Tools

You will also learn:-

*    How To Cook Over An Open Fire
*    The Use of An Earth Oven

What Can You Make?

*    Spoons (with a carved bowl)
*    Small Turned Items
*    A Stool (turned or drawn)

After this Basic Course – you can progress to the Intermediate Course that is for 6 Days, where you will add to the skills you have already learned.

You can learn how to harvest the Bark of the Elm Tree.

•    How to identity and select Elm Trees
•    How to harvest and preserve the Bark
