SERIOUS MONDAY: TIDBITS SECTION

The Environmental Protection Agency fined Guam Waterworks Authority $40,000 for non-compliance with a federal court order to improve its wastewater system.

The Justice Department and the EPA announced Fujicolor Processing agreed to pay a $200,000 criminal fine for releasing excessive amounts of silver tainted photo processing waste to a Texas wastewater treatment facility.

APEC leaders met this past week for a two day summit to discuss global warming and what goals the governments should set to offset carbon emissions.
