LONDON’S GREEN CABS

Green Tomato Cars is a London-based taxi company similar to Ecoigo, which we featured a while ago.

GREEN TOMATO CARS

An all Toyota Prius green fleet to get you from A to B at no extra cost,  that’s what Green Tomato Cars is about. But not only do they use one of the greenest car existing to date, they also plant trees to compensate for unavoidable emissions.

Green Tomato Cars operate 24/7 in West London and the City and it works like a private hire service. This means you actually have to book your ride, which you can do online or by phone. It started on March 1 this year and is apparently doing good as they expanded their territorial cover to the City lately.

Ride smart 🙂

The green taxi sector is hotting up with another entrant, Climate Cars. Their differentiator is bike rescue. Whether you’re a cyclist stranded by a puncture, or over indulged in the pub after work and don’t fancy taking your chances with London’s traffic in your inebriated state, they offer a solution.

Hey great stuff, in a while all taxis and rental car companies should switch to hybrid cars!

Just wanted to let people know about Carmic Cars a London based Taxi Company that’s really impressed me.
In addition to being a greener way to get around (they offset more than twice any emissions). Each Toyota Prius is driven by a knowledgeable driver and has a handheld games console, free bottled water, plug-in for Ipods and even a selection of magazines.

They will soon be rebranding as Carmic Green.

It is good to see London getting the Hybrid Vehicle Taxi attention it deserves. This is good thing for them.
